A structure fire was reported at the quadplex at 960 Mattison Road around 8:15 a.m. Thursday.
The Conway Fire Department had the blaze contained by 8:35 a.m.
Reports from a neighbor indicated smoke was coming from the attic of Apartment 1, Battalion Chief Mark Jones said.
"There was a little bit of an extension of fire in the attic space," Jones said. "The smoke trailed into all four apartments and the fire was contained to Apartment 1 and the dividing wall between Apartments 1 and 2."
Jones said it took the CFD about 20 minutes to contain the fire but that the cause was unclear as of Thursday afternoon.
Fire Chief Mike Winter said the fire originated in the bathroom.
"It’s still under investigation but foul play is not suspected," he said. Apartment 1 residents were not home at the time the fire broke out and no other resident of the quadplex was injured, Jones said.
