The Lewis Crossing Shopping Center will celebrate another store with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of Michaels on Sunday.
Michaels, North America’s largest arts and crafts retailer, will officially open at 10 a.m. Sunday after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45.
“Michaels will be giving away more than $1,500 in gift cards and prizes throughout the day,” spokesman Caitlin Chapman said in a statement. “In addition, customers can win items for the whole family from the plinko prize board, which includes jewelry, art supplies, stickers and more.”
District Manager Mike Pyell noted the store’s open design with wider aisles and bright lighting. He said he hopes to see a big crowd at the grand opening.
“We hope everyone will come out to help us celebrate during our grand opening festivities on Sunday,” Pyell said. “Our new store features thousands of products that will inspire every crafter at any level from beginner to expert, plus classes for our customers to learn new skills and explore their creativity.”
The nearly 17,400-
square-foot store is located at 1284 S. Amity Road. It will employ more than 60 people.
