The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Early Response Team from Perryville United Methodist Church filled 100 cleaning buckets for flood victims in Louisiana.

"Area churches, businesses and individuals gave graciously to make this mission project so successful and all donations were greatly appreciated," team leader Ida Rose said.

Churches from different denominations that contributed to filling the buckets were: Temple Missionary Baptist Church, Perryville United Methodist Women, Assembly of God Church, Union Valley Baptist Church, Adona Methodist Church and Conway Peace Lutheran Church.

Perry County Food and Drug Store and Mustang Sally’s sent donations from Perryville, while Home Depot, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Hwy 65 N. Wal-Mart and Dave Ward Wal-Mart contributed from Conway.

Harp’s grocery, Kroger’s grocery and Wal-Mart all made donations from Morrilton.

Many individuals also donated monetarily and with items to fill these buckets.

Early Response Team members include Jan Dugan, Arnie Jester, Leslie Smith, Melinda Collins, Lester and Ida Rose and Rev. Beth Purdue.
