Renewal Ranch Ministries held its Christmas Gala at the Governor’s Mansion on Dec. 15.
The event was part of a twofold party, followed up by the “Country Christmas Party” held on the campus of Renewal Ranch.
Former Gov. Mike Huckabee was the guest speaker at both events.
The “Country Christmas” marked the first event held in Renewal Ranch’s new Restoration Center.
The chapel space and dining area of the building have been completed, allowing the ministry to utilize these spaces for their Saturday Chapel services.
Both events were sold out with around 225 seats sold for each.
Proceeds will go to operating costs for the ministry along with additional pledges made at the event to begin the kitchen area of the 15,000-square-foot Restoration Center.
Renewal Ranch is a nonprofit ministry that serves the Conway community and surrounding areas.
"We at renewal ranch are bringing awareness to the devastating effects of drug and alcohol addiction," a spokesman said. "Our passion is to break the chains of addiction through a relationship with Jesus Christ."
Renewal Ranch opened in February 2011.
Since that time, more than 180 men have graduated from the program.
On average, 20 men apply each month for the program.
Renewal Ranch recently embarked on a $1.5 million capital campaign to build the Renewal Ranch Restoration Center. Still to be completed is the kitchen, teaching space and bedrooms.
