Delta Dental of Arkansas will host its inaugural Toothapalooza on Feb. 17 to celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Arkansas Museum of Discovery, which partnered with Delta Dental to make the event possible, children under 18 can receive free dental screenings and fluoride varnish treatments.

Volunteer dental professionals from the Arkansas Department of Health Office of Oral Health, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Dental Hygiene program and the Arkansas Oral Health Coalition will be on hand to provide the screenings and educate families about the importance of oral hygiene.

“All children will also receive an oral health kit that contains a toothbrush, toothpaste and coloring book,” Samantha Herrera, event coordinator, said. “Parents can visit the Museum of Discovery webpage and download the dental permission form to bring with them, or use the passcode ‘Toothapalooza’ to get free admission to the event.”

The Museum of Discovery is located at 500 President Clinton Avenue Suite 150 in Little Rock.
