CUMC held its monthly fellowship brunch after church last Sunday and it was a great spread, once again. I would have to say the highlight of the morning was watching the kids turn Mr. Rick’s gray haired head hot pink. He is such a trooper! Lana had told the kids that they could do it if they worked hard at the Christmas program. The color was supposed to wash out but it had not after several washes and he has been sporting the pinkish mane ever since. If you would like to see the epic event firsthand, you may view the video from the church’s page on Facebook.

The Enders Community is planning a spaghetti sauce cook-off on February 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Enders Community Center. The movie looks like it will be a John Wayne classic, McLintock, will be shown after the dinner so it is a good evening with family friendly entertainment and everyone loves spaghetti. If you have a great spaghetti sauce, come on out and see how yours measures up with other folks from Enders. I am sure it will be friendly competition.

The United Way will host a Valentine’s Day Dance at the Faulkner County Senior Citizen Center in Conway on Wednesday, February 14th, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. The dance will feature the Double Barrel Band with Ed Lybarger, Tommy Lynn Browning, Keith Gresham, Roger Brooks, and David Gardner. The dance will be for donations and all money will benefit the United Way of Faulkner County. The Faulkner County Senior Citizen Center is located at 705 East Siebenmorgan in Conway.
