The Conway Area Tennis Association will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 4 at the McGee Center in Conway to discuss the new Laurel Park Tennis Facility among other topics.

An annual report will be given by the board.

They will also be looking for volunteers for the upcoming tennis tournament on April 27, and more.

Attendees can find out what exciting programs are available and in development for tennis and meet the new tennis professional Wyatt Miller, who will be managing the Conway Tennis Center at Laurel Park.

Miller adds to the tennis community in Conway.

Hendrix and the University of Central Arkansas both offer certified tennis professionals who can help you up your game.

Now, the city parks and recreation will, too.

Most recently, Miller has been the Adult Tennis Events Director and Tournament Director at Little Rock Racquet Club for the last three years.

He is a 5.0 rated player, captains men’s United States Tennis Association league teams and a United State Professinoal Tennis Association Elite certified teaching professional.

His teaching accomplishments include advancing juniors into college level players, and is one of three teaching professionals to send more than one team to the USTA Nationals from the same facility in the same year.

Miller is here for all tennis needs and looks forward to meeting everyone.

CATA is an organization that has been around from the beginning of the park project.

CATA is a group of volunteers that are passionate about the sport of tennis and want to see it grow in our community.

Their sole purpose is to promote, support and develop local programs, including tennis tournaments and junior and adult tennis leagues.
