The Arkansas Coding Academy at the University of Central Arkansas will hold its fifth demo day event from 1-3 p.m. April 6 at UCA Downtown located at 1105 W. Oak St.

During the day, coding academy students will demonstrate how the software-development final projects to the community, potential employers and other stakeholders, according to a UCA news release.

“Since the first Demo Day back in November 2016, the Coding Academy has received tremendous support from the community and we look forward to our fifth and many more successful Demo Days to come,” director Mary Condit, said.

The event is open to current students, future students, community members and employers looking for new talent.

“Community members and potential employers get an opportunity to see upcoming technical talent and network with local community members,” Condit said.

The coding academy is a non-credit program that "tactically trains and equips students to be productive and curious developers, in order to fill gaps in our current workforce," the release states.
