Residents of Faulkner, Lonoke and Pulaski counties are invited to give their input at a public meeting regarding a corridor study to improve Arkansas 89 between Conway and Cabot from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Veterans Park Event Center in Cabot.

The event center is at 508 N. Lincoln St.

“The study seeks to determine the need for and feasibility of a continuous State Highway 89 corridor,” Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) spokesman Danny Straessle said in a news release. “The focus of the study is to make State Highway 89 a key component of the regional arterial network, providing a continuous east-west corridor from Interstate 40 to U.S. Highway 67 north of Camp Robinson.”

The event, hosted by ArDOT and Metroplan, will follow an open-house format with displays on hand for attendees to view. Residents are also encouraged to ask questions and offer comments.
