The co-founder and CEO of Dave Creek Media will share his experiences of starting a company during a Game Changers event hosted by the University of Central Arkansas Conductor.

Glenn Crockett will open the floor to questions from the audience after giving an overview of what he went through while co-founding Dave Creek Media.

The event will begin with lunch and networking at 11 a.m. Aug. 29 at The Makerspace, inside UCA's Donghey Hall. Crockett's presentation will start at 11:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to stay after and network, organizers said.

The event is free and open to the public but guests must reserve a spot on The Conductor's website or through its Facebook page. The Makerspace is at 250 Donaghey Ave. in Conway.

"Get a first-hand account of the successes and challenges faced by Arkansas entrepreneurs and how they found their start," event organizers said. "Game Changers [is] an event celebrating the startup community through networking and storytelling."

In addition to co-founding the media company, Crockett worked for Acxiom Corporation for the past 25 years. During his tenure, he had a variety of leadership roles including, most recently, director of sales within the Audience Solutions Division.

Crockett also serves as a board member for Two by Two Ministry and the Faulkner County Homeschool Athletic Association.
