CAPCA Faulkner County Commodity Distribution: 8:15 - 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 13; Administration Office at 707 Robins Street in Conway; Each household will receive 1 to 3 of each item as supplies last. Commodities will he given on a first come first serve basis. REQUIREMENTS: declaration of household Income and photo identification. If you are picking up commodities for someone, you must have a signed and dated statement from that person giving you permission to pick up their commodities. CASA Training: 5:30 - 8:30 p.m Thursday, September 6 through Monday, October 1 and 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesday, October 2; Faulkner County Courthouse 801 Locust St.; This training is for anyone who: 1) wants to help their community, 2) wants to impact the lives of under-represented youth, 3) has a passion for giving hope, 4) is invested in the lives of all children, 5) has a heart for foster children, 6) wants to save lives and create a better future. Festival of Chairs: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 25; Legacy Acres; The Festival of Chairs' signature feature are the repurposed chairs by local artists. The chairs are symbolic of the children and families that the Children’s Advocacy Alliance serves on a daily basis. The chairs start the journey broken, tattered, abused, then they arrive at the Festival of Chairs as beautiful works of art; this is the visual representation of the path walked by the children we serve. These chairs, along with other works of art and hundreds of other unique items, are featured in live, silent and super silent auctions.
