The Conway Downtown Partnership will award Shop Small tote bags filled with goodies to the first 200 visitors to its Christmas Open House.

The event will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday in historic downtown Conway.

“For nearly 50 years, downtown merchants have opened their doors on a Sunday afternoon in early November as the start to the holiday shopping season,” CDP Executive Director Kim Williams said. “Visitors flock to the area to take advantage of the special hours and to be among the first to see the seasons' holiday collections.”

The Shop Small totes will include coupons, gift certificates and special offers from downtown merchants and restaurants during Christmas Open House.

“This year, we will set up the goodie bag tent on Oak Street in front of 1023 Oak Street,” Williams said.

Shop Small is the motto for Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24, which encourages consumers to frequent the small businesses in the area.

“Show up and show everyone how much your local small businesses mean to you by enjoying our unique boutiques and fabulous restaurants,” Williams said.
