Zips Car Wash (www.zipscarwash.com) and its 137 locations, along with more than 3,600 other car wash locations across the nation will provide free car washes to veterans and current military service personnel, under the Grace For Vets Free Wash Program from 8 a.m. to close on Sunday.

Free car washes will be given, rain or shine, at all Zips Car Wash locations. The free washes are given to honor and recognize those that have served and are serving in the armed forces.

Grace For Vets was founded by Mike Mountz, former owner of Cloister Wash & Lube, in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, in 2004. Mountz vowed to find a way to honor veterans when he served and saw first-hand, amputees and the seriously wounded at the Veterans Hospital in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Several years after opening his first car wash, he started the Grace For Vets Free Wash Program. With the help of car washes across the country who participate, more and more military servicemen and women are recognized each year through this program.

“Military personnel and the sacrifices they make is near and dear to our hearts,” said Harrison Hemphill, Zips Car Wash Chief Operating Officer. “Participating in this program every year is an honor for us to try to show our appreciation for their sacrifice.

"We hope to serve thousands of veterans and active military on Nov. 11 with our best car wash but we also hope to honor them every day through support of wounded warrior programs, by hiring former military and by living with thankful attitudes in the freedoms they have helped provide."
