The Faulkner County Tea Party organized an evening with local legislators to discuss bills currently on the floor.

The forum will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday in the McGee Center in Conway and is free and open to the public.

The current Faulkner County Tea Party Chairman Hugh Castles will act as moderator and will be "ably assisted by Denton McCormack," Tea Party officials told the Log Cabin Democrat.

All local legislators were invited.

Sen. Jason Rapert said he would be unable to attend.

Rep. Stephen Meeks, who represents District 67, and Rep. Spencer Hawks, who represents District 70, have confirmed they will attend.

As of press time Tuesday, those were the only ones who had given a definite response.

Tea party officials said the evening would include "questions and discussions about bills before the 92nd General Assembly."
