Van Ronkle Street at Front Street reopened Friday but the intersection of Van Ronkle and Chestnut streets will be closed to thru traffic for at least two weeks beginning Monday, officials said.

“This will close the intersection to [thru] traffic for at least the next two weeks or so, weather permitting,” Conway Downtown Partnership officials said in a news release. “Please know the shops and businesses on Chestnut and Van Ronkle will still be open and can be accessed by sidewalk, however street access will be limited in these areas.”

There are several parking options available downtown for patrons wanting to visit the shops and businesses during construction.

“The two hour parking code enforcement has been relaxed during construction,” CDP officials said.

The infrastructure improvement project includes:

• New asphalt.

• A new mini roundabout.

• New storm drainage infrastructure.

• New street lighting.

• New streetscaping.

• New parallel parking.

• New brick crosswalks.
