Bethlehem House announced Monday that its hiring committee selected Mr. T.J. Johnston of Conway as its new director of development.
Johnston will be responsible for coordinating the organization’s fundraising and marketing efforts.
“The board and I are excited to have T.J. on board,” Judi Lively, executive director of Bethlehem House said. “He possesses the skill set that we need to help us build valuable relationships with community and corporate leaders.”
Johnston brings knowledge from both the private and public sectors to support the growth and sustainability of the Bethlehem House. Throughout his career, he has raised more than $4 million, worked on capital campaigns and managed several property developments.
Johnston’s primary responsibilities will be to advance Bethlehem House’s annual and planned giving efforts and to develop additional comprehensive fundraising initiatives and marketing campaigns throughout the coming year.
“It's a privilege to be part of Bethlehem House team. I look forward to helping in the funding and operations of the organization," Johnston said.
Johnston studied marketing at the University of Central Arkansas and is a Certified Chamber Executive through the US Chamber of Commerce. Johnston lives in Conway with his two sons.
