Students in Computer Business Applications classes at Conway High School are learning real-world skills and achieving certifications to help them in their future careers.

Fifty-three students have been certified in Microsoft Office Specialist. These students have earned 110 certifications. MOS boosts academic performance and preps students for college and careers. It also gives students a commanding competitive edge in today’s academic and professional environments. Holding a MOS certification can earn an entry-level business employee as much as $16,000 more in annual salary than uncertified peers.

MOS certifications are the only globally recognized credentials that validate technical expertise in the business productivity applications within the Microsoft Office Suite. Specialists tap into the full features and functionality of Microsoft Office, resulting in increased job candidate marketability, improved academic performance, enhanced confidence, and productivity in the workplace.

In addition, Banking Students at Conway High School have received certifications from the Arkansas Banking Association. Students completed a rigorous curriculum, and passed a comprehensive certification test with a 90% accuracy or higher. Students received certifications in Principles of Banking and Today’s Teller: Developing Basic Skills. Fifteen students passed the Today’s Teller certification and seventeen students passed the Principles of Banking certification. Students also participated in the EVERFI Financial Literacy program provided by Bank OZK. This program provides the foundational knowledge needed to make the right financial decisions.
