The Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society is a national honor society with 80 chapters at colleges and universities across America. The society places a major focus on community development and philanthropy. The three pillars of the society signify scholarship, service, and character. Students are invited to join the society every spring semester based on grade point average standards of a 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale, with at least 12 semester hours completed.
Gamma Beta Phi is not discipline specific so all majors are included. To maintain active membership, students must attain 60 points every semester. Points are accrued for attending meetings, being involved in Gamma Beta Phi events, and volunteering in club community service projects or through their participation with projects/organizations in their own communities.
