Hope everyone had a great Memorial weekend!
I spent most of last week and weekend with a wonderful group of ladies and gentlemen from Jackson and Conway Senior Center’s on a bus trip to Oklahoma City, Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was a great trip!
Met some new friends and and spent time with some old ones. I had a great roommate, Joyce Henry Tally! Others I knew, such as Anna Ruth Henry Kennedy, who I wish I had as much energy as she has! There was 44 total that went.
I couldn’t begin to tell you everyone’s name cause I would miss someone for sure. It was an awesome trip and hope I can go on another one with them!
Thank you to Debra Robinson, Director of The Conway Senior Center, and Christy, Director Of Jacksonville Senior Center, for planning a great organized trip! We were also real close to all the tornadoes going on in Oklahoma City But was guided to the right places to be so we were close but we were safe.
We saw lots of museums, rode the Sky Tram, shopped, went to casino, went Old Town. Saw some beautiful cities and lots of mountains!
Pray for the families in Oklahoma and Arkansas that were hit by the tornadoes and flooding!
Congratulations to all the athletes that went to Arkansas Special Olympics State Games at Harding University in Searcy. Sandy Dowdy got a third place with her unified partner.
Please keep Sandy Dowdy in prayers, Bessie and Darrell Bearden, Albert Woods, Clark And Faye Hooten, Clark and Linda Stevenson, Annette Rowlett and Marcell Fielder.
Send me news to 501 450-0395 so I can tell about your adventures this summer.
