Conway police launched a death investigation after two bodies were found in a Club Lane residence Tuesday evening.

Details regarding the incident are scarce at this time as authorities continue investigating the matter.

“The Conway Police Department is investigating the deaths of two people found in a home on Club Lane,” spokesman LaTresha Woodruff confirmed Tuesday evening. “Detectives are in the early stages of this investigation [and] no further information is being released at this time.”

As of press time, authorities had not released either victim’s gender or age

Police would not confirm how the individuals died, only citing CPD had received a welfare check request when officers found two bodies in the Club Lane home, located off of College Avenue.

Woodruff did confirm the police department does not typically receive calls for services from the area in question.

“This neighborhood doesn’t seem particularly familiar [to our officers], meaning we don’t typically get a lot of calls out here,” she said, adding that detectives were working to gather statements and other information from neighbors.

The Log Cabin Democrat will continue following this story as details become available.
