A Sheridan man is accused of downloading and viewing matter depicting child porn.

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge on Friday announced her office was seeking 10 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child against Larry Lee Brooks, 32, of Sheridan.

Cyber Crime Unit special agents conducted a search warrant at the Sheridan man’s home and seized a laptop, a computer, three Xboxes and multiple hard drives containing several “sexually explicit files of children,” officials said.

The case was handed over to Teresa Howell, who is the Seventh Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney.

Online records show Brooks was booked into the Grant County Detention Center just after 7 p.m. Aug. 2 and that he was released on his own recognizance Monday afternoon.
