Love’s Donuts and Gourmet Sandwiches #2, 821 Hogan Lane, Suite 100, had its grand opening August 8. In addition to a variety of yeast donuts, cake and filled donuts and kolaches, the restaurant has breakfast sandwiches, fruit smoothies and Asian healthy smoothies. Love’s Donuts #1 is at 317 Oak Street, Suite 2, next to BuLGOGI. The ownership and name change took place in late June.

EasyBins has opened at 705 Donaghey in Conway. This early morning home delivery service was launched in Fayetteville, Arkansas a year ago, providing food as well as household products and pet care items. Orders must be placed online at easybins.com before midnight. They are then prepared and packed at night for delivery to the front door before 6 a.m. They will be there waiting in bins with your morning paper. More details are available at the website.

Wunderhaus will hold its Summer Market Saturday, August 17 from 3-9 p.m. Local artisans, crafters, artists, farmers and performers will come together. Most profits will go to The Locals, a non-profit working to make Conway a more beautiful place to live. Suggested donation is $5.

H2O Pools and Supplies, 895 West Oak Street will hold a ribbon cutting Friday, August 23 at 11 a.m. This will provide another source for those pool supplies since Backyard Paradise Pools & Spas closed.

Dent Masters of Arkansas opened in the former Backyard Paradise location at 807 Bill Dean Drive this past spring. This family-owned automotive repair and body shop offers paintless dent removal. And in other automotive news, O’Reilly Auto Parts is getting started with its new location on Hogan next to Splash Car Wash.

Lenderman Dental, which held a groundbreaking at its new location on the southwest corner of Donaghey and Caldwell on July 1, has about 2,256 square feet of additional space available for other tenants. The area can be subdivided and will be available in December. Early commitments will have build-out options.

PattiCakes Downtown, 1137 Front Street, is shooting for an opening date of Friday, September 13. Skinny J’s, 2235 Dave Ward Drive, Suite 201 (old Roux’s) is currently hiring management and conducting interviews but no opening date has been announced yet. Los 3 Portrillos plans on being in its new location in the winter of 2019. It is currently remodeling the old Shucked Surf and Turf on Sanders.

Other new restaurants currently in the planning stages or under construction are Panda Express (next to Sleep Number) on Oak Street; Waffle House rebuild on Oak Street; Taco Bell (next to Steak n Shake) on Dave Ward Drive; and Walk-ons Bistreaux and Bar and Denny’s in the new Lewis Ranch development.

Perry Smith recently indicated that he hoped to have the first new Minute Man restaurant in Little Rock open by July 4, 2020 followed by a second Little Rock location and then a Conway location.

In Greenbrier, Zona K Tracha, a Central American and Mexican Food restaurant, opened in the former Sawbucks location on July 29. This past week, it introduced the Panther Special—a bed of rice and fries topped with grilled meat and cheese sauce. The restaurant has Taco Tuesday as well as daily specials.

Dairy Queen in Greenbrier is hiring management as well as doing a little remodeling of the old Western Sizzlin Express on North Broadview. The new Sonic in Greenbrier is also beginning to take shape just south of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
