Conway’s Allstate agency location is one of 11 across the state of Arkansas that have recently volunteered to come together for a good cause.

Owner Todd Garibay joins several others in securing a $20,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands – through collecting tabs as part of Pop Tab Pandemonium – to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities in Arkansas.

The organization will use the funds to help pay for families with hospitalized children. The financial help not only goes toward giving the families and private and safe place to stay but also helps with meals, snacks, laundry facilities, play spaces and relaxing areas.

“This allows families to stay together in their time of crisis,” a news release from the foundation states.

The Allstate volunteers were a few among thousands of agency owners around the country working to support varying causes they care about most, helping to better their communities.

“Our Allstate volunteers see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing the communities they serve,” Andrea Richard, Allstate senior communications consultant, said in the release. “Giving back is core to who we are, which is why we care deeply about dedicating time to volunteer to help improve lives across Little Rock.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas is one of thousands of organizations this year to receive Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grants – which have gone toward supporting organizations that address domestic violence, youth empowerment, disaster preparedness, hunger and more – secured by agency owners, personal financial representatives and licensed sales professionals on behalf of the nonprofits where they volunteer.

The Helping Hands Grants are one example of the foundation’s “legacy of service and giving,” the release reads. Since 1952, the Allstate Foundation has contributed more than $449 million to community nonprofits, $33 million of that in 2018.
