Among reports recently released by the Conway Police Department:

•Shoplifting, Skyline Drive.

An 18-year-old Conway man was arrested Monday afternoon after Walmart employees observed him stealing merchandise from the super center, at 1155 Skyline Drive.

The police report states the suspect attempted to steal $32.59 worth of computer hardware. The suspect was charged with theft of property.

•Possession of a controlled substance, Center Street.

Conway police obtained approximately 20 grams of suspected marijuana after conducting a traffic stop on the driver of a silver Dodge Charger for not wearing his seat belt.

Officers pulled over the 19-year-old Conway man on Center Street around 12:55 p.m. Monday. While speaking with the man, police noted the odor of marijuana.

After asking the man to exit the vehicle, officers asked if anything illegal was in the vehicle, to which the man replied yes. After his response, police say the man reached into the door panel and pulled out a small digital scale.

While further searching the vehicle, police located a clear, plastic bag containing the suspected marijuana. Officers also obtained rolling papers.

The driver was cited for driving with no seat belt, and advised that warrants could be obtained for the marijuana and paraphernalia.

•Theft of property, Pickwicket Drive.

A Conway woman says her children’s bikes were recently stolen from her residence in the 200 block of Pickwicket Drive.

The 35-year-old mother said the thefts occurred while she was out of town for the weekend. The bikes, one a 24" orange Mongoose and the other a 20" blue and black bike, were in the front yard, but not locked up.

The bikes were valued at $250 in the police report.

•Public intoxication, Ingram Street.

A 29-year-old Conway man was arrested for public intoxication Monday afternoon after police located the hispanic male, stumbling down Ingram Street.

Officers made contact, around 12:13 p.m., with the man, who was bleeding from his nose, and had a bloody upper lip.

Police also stated the man had several blood spots on his shirt, had trouble keeping his balance and reeked of alcohol.

Officers then took the man into custody for public intoxication and transported him to the Faulkner County jail. The hispanic male was also held on two misdemeanor warrants from the Conway Police Department, which were discovered while at the detention facility.

•Vehicle breaking or entering, Dave Ward Drive.

A Russellville woman says her vehicle was entered Saturday night in the Gusano’s parking lot at 2915 Dave Ward Drive.

The 23-year-old victim told police her car was in the parking lot between 11 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday. When she returned to her vehicle, she noticed it had been "rummaged through," the police report states.

The victim said she discovered an auxiliary cord, a radar detector and three cell phone chargers were missing. No damage was found, and the victim stated she believes she left the doors unlocked.

The stolen property was valued at $95 in the police report.
