A Conway man was surprised to find out Sunday afternoon that a camera he recently received in a Christmas exchange game turned out to be stolen.

Conway police officers responded to Hastings, in the 1300 block of Old Morrilton Highway, around 4 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of fraud.

The 32-year-old Conway man told police he came to Hastings to return the camera for a different item when store officials alerted him the camera was stolen from the store. The man told police he was unaware the camera had been stolen, and was cooperative with officers, according to the police report.

The man told police he would be in contact with detectives to provide the name of the person who gave him the camera.

The man and a person he was with, an 18-year-old Conway man, were issued criminal trespass warnings from Hastings.
