The Conway Adult Education Center will be hosting the last free "GED in a Weekend" on Saturday, Nov. 2, beginning at 9 a.m. This special weekend testing will give students who still need to obtain their GED Credential, one last opportunity to come in on a Saturday before the 2002 GED Exam Series expires on Dec. 13.

The purpose of Saturday testing is to give people who work or cannot come in for classes during the week, an opportunity to begin the process of getting their GED. The ultimate goal is to give potential students in Faulkner County the chance to complete this piece of their education so they can go to college, enter vocational training, become employed, and/or retain or improve their current job!

In "today’s world" almost every employer requires a high school diploma or GED. It is becoming increasingly important for individuals to obtain one or the other of these credentials, especially if their goals are to continue on with postsecondary education or some type of vocational training. In order to be successful and compete in today’s job market, education and job training are vital!

Students who are interested in coming in on Saturday, Nov. 2, should call and reserve a spot, they must be 18 years of age or older, and should allow at least 5 hours for testing.

Get your GED now…before the "close out" on Dec. 13! Remember, the new GED Test will be in effect on Jan. 1, 2014! The new exam will be computer based and fee will apply!
