John Reeves, dismissed through action of Governor Bailey as superintendent of the boys industrial school at Pine Bluff, returned with his family last night to their farm home west of Conway on Highway 60. Mr. Reeves said he would probably prepare a statement for publication later, in order to set himself right with his home folks regarding certain charges preferred against him which he declared were false or exaggerated.

Mrs. Violet Oldham announced today that $259.61 was netted in the downtown area Saturday from the Easter lily sale. Proceeds go to the Arkansas Association for the Crippled Inc.
Scout troops assisting in the sale were Mrs. Evelyn Arendall, Mary Jo Simon, Mary Ann Hiegel, Merell Ferrell, Dee Kordsmeier, Madelyn Simon, Rose Mary Hickey, Kathy Donovan, Jan Kordsmeier, Patty Herrmann, Pat Simon, Charlene Buckley, Margaret Simon, Janice Luyet, Mary Lee Stoltz, Jill Gordy, Janet Favre and Dawn Carmain.
Junior Easter bunnies were Rebecca Shaw, Mary Ann Mattingly and Robin Bradley. Assisting in the sale were Earl Bolding and Mrs. Hugh R. Wilbourn Jr., Easter Seal chairmen, Lynn Baldridge, Alice Allen, Martha Scott and Sandra Ross.

2nd Lt. William E. Fritz II, son of Marion Fritz of Conway, recently completed the Air Force’s military indoctrination for medical service officers at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.
The course acquaints newly commissioned medical personnel with professional and administrative responsibilities as Air Force officers.
He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas.
