Conway Garden Club

The Conway Garden Club met Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Mike’s Place. The table was decorated by Hostess Julia Fraser with greenery, gold beads and Christmas ornaments. At each place she put an "Elf Boot" filled with Christmas candy. On another table she placed a large needlepoint and cross-stitch NATIVITY, done by her sister Hilda Bowden of Georgia, along with Christmas garland. Paulette Herring brought a large arrangement of red poinsettias with assorted greenery, surrounded by red tulle and flanked by vanilla scented flameless candles.

After ordering, Julia then introduced two Christmas games, kinds of Christmas Nuts and naming Christmas Carols from pictures.

After a delicious lunch, President Florene Phipps conducted the Christmas gift exchange.

We were delighted to hear from Elizabeth Rose Black and Vernelle Crews with many stories from their recent trip to Ireland. We were pleased to have Mary Johnson as a guest. Everything looked so festive, and the ladies dressed in a Christmas theme, a lovely meal and fine fellowship. It was a joyous occasion.
