‘Now’ — Between the Past and Future

The past is gone ... 1

The future not yet born ... perhaps for you, never to arrive.

"NOW" ... a swiftly fleeting moment ... nothing to reject or loan;

Wedged between the past and future — only, "NOW" you are alive.

To make the most of, "NOW" is of the essence ...;

It will be called the past before so very long.

When, "NOW" has slipped from the present —;

It does forever ... leave a residue for right... or wrong.

Behold NOW is the accepted time — NOW is the day of Salvation..

God gave His Son to die on Calvary ... To save our sin-sick soul.

Christ died for all people ... in every nation...;

Salvation is a gift ... free to all ... in God’s word we’re told.

Pristine Beauty

Ohhh, breathtaking... such beauty on a

clear, cold winter night...

With the glistening snow covering all

in sight.

Walking in the crisp, freezing air...

moonlight bright;

Stars like diamonds sparkling, nestled

in velvet, twinkling their light.

Bundled for warmth... progress goes slowly

walking through the snow...

Keeping breath shallow... for air is so

cold;

Enjoying the wonders... trees sculptured

in ice, limbs hanging low;

Ice crunching underfoot as you leave the

Church... and homeward go...

A diminished white world with... a star-

studded sky— the canopy;

For snow with icy gloss and icicles is

what you see...

Everything covered and blanketed as in

white... pristine;

From God comes nature’s dreamland... a

mystery of beauty to me.

A picture of the snowy night in memory

still lives...

Nothing faded... all glistening white...

remembered pleasure gives —;

No painter can paint as this... it can

never, ever be;

For the Master Artist was at work... Oh,

Lord... ‘tis Thee.

God is Love
