Don and Sybil Crafford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week with a family vacation to Fort Worth, Texas. They were married Aug. 4, 1960 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Conway.

Don Crafford is originally from Cotton Plant, the oldest son of Neva and the late Ervin "Pete" Crafford. Don Crafford was in the Army Reserves and is a member of the Masonic lodge. He is a retired teacher from the Southside Bee Branch school system. 

He spends his time volunteering at Conway Regional Hospital, working in the yard, gardening, tending his beehives, working in his shop and spending time with children and grandchildren.

Sybil Crafford was born and raised in Conway, a daughter of the late C.D. and Flara Clements. 

She is currently in her 26th year working with ACE Hardware in Maumelle. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, working in the yard, sewing, cooking, doing genealogy research and spending time with children and grandchildren.

Their four children are: Dana Stobaugh, wife of Don Stobaugh both of Fort Worth, Texas; Gerry Crafford, husband of Ardel Crafford of Beebe; Greg Crafford, husband of Lisa Balogh-Crafford of Conway; and Darla Crafford also of Conway. 

They have one granddaughter, Samantha Gary, who recently became engaged to Justin St. John of Fort Worth, Texas; and three grandsons, Alex Crafford, Anthony Crafford and Andy Crafford.
