Jennifer Kate Wickliffe and Ryan Dean Sherman of Conway were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. July 16 at the Old Gin Special Events Center. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Morgan Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Kim Wickliffe of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Aubrey and Wanda Wickliffe and John and Julia Malak, all of North Little Rock.
The groom is the son of Gary and Leah Sherman of Jacksonville and Kim Forrester of Conway. He is the grandson of Jerry Don and Georgia Forrester and Alfred and Dova Dunham, all of Conway.
Jenna wore a full-length strapless ivory gown made from Chantilly lace. The fitted bodice accented with beading gathered over the A-line skirt. The scalloped lace body of the dress flowed over layers of silk tulle. She wore a fingertip length veil accented with lace detail.
She carried a clutch bouquet of red roses. Violinist Joe Snell played Minuet in G as guests were seated.
Bridesmaids entered to Air (on G String). Her father, Rick Wickliffe, escorted the bride as Trumpet Voluntary was played on the violin. Chastity Eberle of Conway read On Friendship (Love) by Roy Croft during the ceremony.
Serving as matron of honor was Jessica Mason, sister of the bride, of Houston, Texas. Bridesmaid for the ceremony was Melissa Moore of Conway. Attendants wore strapless tea length black silk taffeta dresses. They carried clutch bouquets of red roses.
Kelly Kitch of North Little Rock served as the groom’s best man. Jerry Forrester of Conway, uncle of the groom, was the groomsman. Ushers were Jason Wickliffe, brother of the bride and Brad Wickliffe, nephew of the bride, both of Conway.
The bride’s mother wore a cream colored beaded tea length dress with matching jacket. The groom’s mother wore a black sleeveless square necked A-line dress.
A reception was held at the Old Gin Special Events Center following the ceremony. Black tablecloths decorated with silver mint julep cups filled with red roses and greenery covered the tables that surrounded the dance floor.
The bride’s lemon cake with butter cream icing had a square base, an offset square second layer, with a round top layer all lined with black ribbon. Red roses were placed on the top of the cake.
The groom’s cake was a white cake with the New York Yankees logo colors.
Guests were served rosemary meatballs, ham pinwheels, turkey croissants, hot spinach and artichoke dip, a choice of three bruschetta toppings and breads, assorted fruits, vegetables, dips and their choice of beverages.
Michelangelo’s in Conway was the venue for Jenna’s bridal luncheon. The menu included salad, pasta, bread and mimosas. Guests included the mother of the bride, bridesmaids, Erica Wickliffe, sister in law of the bride, and Teresa Moore of Arlington, Va.
Showers were hosted in Maumelle at Pine Forest Elementary by friends of the bride’s mother, in Conway at the home of Melissa Moore, hosted by friends of the bride, in the Little Rock home of Nikki Harper, and in Mayflower hosted by Brandy McCaghen, Sarah Kirkpatrick, and Shelley Wickliffe.
The couple will reside in Conway. Ryan is enrolled in electrical apprenticeship training and is employed by the International Brothers of Electrical Workers.
Jenna graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a masters degree in advanced studies in teaching and learning and teaches algebra at Little Rock Central High School.
