Meredith Ford and Stephen Moix, both of Conway, have announced their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Col. Douglas and Kathryn Ford of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.V. Ford, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; Jenny Abrams of Little Rock and the late Larry Branton. She is a 2003 graduate of Conway High School. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2007 with her Bachelors of Science and in 2009 with her masters of science. She is a member of United Way, ASHA, ABESPA and is a big sister for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She is currently a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Milstones program of   Faulkner County Day School.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. Patrick and Ceresia Moix of Conway. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hammett of Conway and Mrs. Catherine Moix of Conway. He is a 1999 graduate of Conway High School. He attended the University of Central Arkansas where he was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma pledge class of 1999. Currently he is a Derrick Hand with Saxon Drilling, LLP.

The wedding ceremony will be held on the sandy beaches of Antigua at the Sandals Resort and Spa at 11 a.m. Oct. 5.  A reception will follow at the Old Gin in Conway marking the newlyweds return.
