Katherine Ann Kordsmeier and Samuel Robert Roose, both of Gilbert, Ariz., have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Glen and Lisa Kordsmeier of Benton, Ark. She is the granddaughter of Emil and Helen Kordsmeier and Richard and Jane Lagasse, all of Conway.

She is a 2005 graduate of Paron High School, a 2009 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree, and a 2011 graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology.

She is currently employed as a Speech Language Pathologist at Pediatric Speech & Language Specialists in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The prospective groom is the son of Gerald and Cynthia Roose of Gilbert, Ariz. He is the grandson of Gene Roose and the late Marge Roose, and the late Charles and Alice Zillweger.

He is a 1998 graduate of Animas High School and a 2002 graduate of New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

He is currently employed as an Operations Senior Supervisor at the Freeport McMoRan Sulfuric Acid Plant in Miami, Ariz.

The wedding is set to take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 30, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway.

The reception will follow at Conway Country Club by Invitation Only.
