Kathryn McGarity Haury, of Conway, formerly of Albuquerque, N.M., passed away Aug. 8, 2009, at the age of 91.
She was born to James (Jim) and Alma Cupp McGarity on July 2, 1918. She was a Baptist by faith.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Haury Jr.; her parents; and three sister, Norine Colclasure, Louise Wilson and Emma Jean Johnson.
Kathryn had a good life. She was involved in and also taught round dancing for 30 years in Alburquerque, N.M. She also taught bridge. She was employed for several years as a telephone operator. She enjoyed sewing and needle point work.
Kathryn is survived by her sister, Maxine Finch of Lonoke; sisters-in-law, Anne Bell of Albuquerque and Teresa (Joe) Caple of North Little Rock; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation is one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Committal Services will be at 2 p.m. in Arkansas Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.
