Among reports recently released by the Conway Police Department:

1. Domestic battering at 200 block of Willow Street. Police responded Saturday night for a medical standby call involving a woman who had been stabbed in the chest. After interviewing the victim and her boyfriend, 45-year-old Anthony Jerome Brown of 207 Willow St., Conway, police determined that the victim had been holding a kitchen knife when Brown "went after her with a chair, possibly causing the knife to be pushed back into (the victim’s chest)," according to the report. The victim was treated at Conway Regional Medical Center and released Saturday night. Brown was arrested and ordered Monday by Circuit Judge David Reynolds to be held without bond.

2. Breaking or entering at 1170 Pat’s Lane (Home Motors). On the night of Aug. 5 a Home Motors security guard saw a thief described as a white male in his 20s wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a black ball cap on the property trying to open the hood of a vehicle. The thief ran when he saw the security guard, dropping an intercooler he was trying to steal. The security guard chased him on foot, but lost sight of him near Brookside Drive.

3. Recovered stolen vehicle at 710 South Harkrider St. (Helton’s Wrecker Service). While doing an inventory of U-Haul trucks and trailers Monday employees noticed that one trailer parked on their property wasn’t on the inventory list. A worker looked into the matter and found that the trailer had been stolen from a U-Haul dealer in Norman, Okla. No suspects were identified.
