Conway Fire Department investigators have concluded their investigation into Monday night’s fire on Conway Boulevard that killed a mother and her three children.

Fire Chief Bart Castleberry said that the fire appears to have been accidental, but material sent to the State Crime Lab still has to be analyzed before a conclusive finding can be reached. Castleberry said he expects to have these results back within two weeks.

Jennifer Cissel and her children, Gwenette Snodgrass, 5, Chris Snodgrass, 4, and Arley Snodgrass, 3, were found inside the house at 124 Conway Blvd. The first fire truck arrived at the scene at 8:12 p.m., three minutes after the fire was reported. At that time, flames were coming out three sides of the house.

Coroner Patrick Moore said cause of the deaths has not been determined, but it is at this time believed to be smoke inhalation. The mother was found in the living room and the children were found in the bathroom, he said.
