Conway police are investigating a Christmas morning armed robbery at a Highway 65 convenience store.

According to Lt. Susan Wilson of the Conway Police Department, the robbery occurred at about 11:15 a.m. at a Flash Market at 1030 Highway 65 North. Wilson would only confirm that a handgun had been involved and would not comment on the number of suspects or their description. Security camera images may have been captured, but CPD wasn’t releasing these images on Friday or Saturday.

Wilson also wouldn’t comment on what, if any, items or money was taken. No one was hurt in the course of the robbery, she said.

A store manager said on Saturday that she wasn’t at liberty to comment on the incident as per company policy, but could confirm that no one had been hurt.

"And we’re real glad for that," she said.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident — or any unsolved crime — is urged to contact CPD at 450-6120.
