Police arrested a husband and wife late Thursday afternoon on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver at a Greenbrier home that sits within 1,000 feet of a church, a city park and a public school.

The warrant was signed after an investigation by the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force and was served by Faulkner County Metro SWAT.

According to Conway Police Department public information officer Chris Harris, Lacey Lynn Haynes, 28, and Henry Blake Haynes, 29, were arrested after suspected drugs were found inside the home.

Items seized included about a quarter-pound of suspected marijuana divided among several “baggies,” less than half a gram of suspected methamphetamine and what Harris described as “a baker’s dozen” of suspected marijuana-laced cookies.

A boy and girl, both under 10 years of age, were also in the home. DHS responded to evaluate the situation, and the children were released to the custody of a family member.

Harris, who is a member of the Metro SWAT team, said that SWAT knocked on the door and announced “search warrant,” but no one answered. Once the door was opened by SWAT, he said, the suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Both suspects were being held Friday on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug premises inside a drug-free zone.
