A Conway County Justice of the Peace whose son was allegedly beaten by a Morrilton police officer died Sunday, according to a news report by KARK.
Lyle Wilson, 49, of Morrilton, died Sunday of an apparent heart attack. Lyle Wilson's son, Brandon Wilson, was allegedly beaten with a service baton by Morrilton police officer James Clinton "Clint" Murray over the weekend, while booking him on suspicion of public intoxication and criminal trespass.
Murray resigned from the department after administrators determined that he had violated department policy.
Wilson’s family would not comment on the circumstances of his death, according to KARK.
