The Faulkner County Retired Teachers Association will hold its first meeting of the 2010-2011 year Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Activity Center of Conway First Baptist Church.

The program will be presented by State Rep. Linda Tyler. She will address the question, “Race to the Top…Are Our Children Winning the Race?” Anyone who has retired from any position in education is encouraged to become a member of FCRTA.
It is a great way for retirees who have worked in education to keep up with community needs, legislation, insurance and other areas of interest.

The group meets every third Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., except in December and May when meetings begin at 11:30 a.m. for luncheons. Each meeting features a program and refreshments.
Membership is open to all levels of school educators including support personnel, spouses and other interested persons. Guests are always welcome.
