Mary Smith, Conway alderman for Ward 3, Position 2 has announced she will seek re-election in November. 

Smith is currently completing her third term as a member of the city council and is employed by Conway Public Schools as bookkeeper for Ruth Doyle Intermediate School. She serves as a member of the Keep Faulkner County Beautiful Board of Directors and the Independent Living Services Board of Directors. She also serves on the newly formed Conway City Council Audit Committee. 

Smith is a graduate of Conway High School and attended the University of Central Arkansas, Pulaski Technical College and Arkansas Tech University. She is also a member of the Robinson and Center Street Church of Christ.

"I have worked hard to do right for the citizens of Conway and have striven to promote accountability and transparency across all city departments," Smith said. "I have established positive relationships with all department heads and many employees. And, as a city-wide alderman, I have a proven record of listening and responding to citizens all across Conway. If re-elected, I pledge to continue to be responsive to all constituents and work diligently to keep our city great."
