Conway police say a 17-year-old girl was airlifted to University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences after her vehicle collided with a dump truck.

Lt. Susan Wilson of the Conway Police Department said the young woman was attempting to merge off of Interstate 40 at the 129B exit when her vehicle was “T-boned” by a dump truck traveling west on Highway 65-B, driven by Robert Norris. Wilson said Norris is about 55 years old.

Wilson said the 17-year-old pulled her Nissan Altima into the path of the truck. Wilson added that the young woman was pregnant.

Wilson said investigators weren’t finished evaluating the accident, and more information would be available Friday.

A UAMS representative said the girl was still in the emergency room at 3:50 p.m., but declined to provide any more information.
