CABOT — Powered by a double-eagle on the par-5, No. 5 hole, Conway High sophomore Summar Roachell repeated as girls medalist in the 7A girls state golf tournament on the Mountain Springs Course at Greystone Country Club here.
Roachell had rounds of even-par 72 yesterday and 73 today the earn medalist honors by seen strokes over Olivia Lavy of Fayetteville.
Fayetteville, with three golfers shooting in the 70s both days, won the team title by 71 strokes with a combined 466. Conway, at 537, finished second for the second year in a row.
"I hit the ball solidly and played pretty solid golf both days," said Roachell, who will try to defend her Overall title in a couple of weeks.
