A Conway Public Schools bus driver was issued a citation by police officers Monday following a minor accident involving the bus he was driving.
According to Superintendent Greg Murry, driver Terrance Tatum is no longer operating a bus route for the school.
Murry did not comment on Tatum’s current employment status with the district.
According to Lt. Susan Wilson, interim public information officer for the Conway Police Department, the driver of the bus was attempting to negotiate a turn on a narrow road on his route when he struck another vehicle.
Tatum was operating the bus under a suspended license, and was ticketed for “careless and prohibited driving” at the time of the incident, Wilson said.
