The Conway Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire that was "fully involved" near mile marker 125 on Interstate 40’s westbound lane Friday.
According to Assistant Chief Mike Winter, a family was traveling from Memphis, Tenn., to Oklahoma when their vehicle caught fire.
"No one was hurt and everyone got out of the vehicle. We have no suspicion of origin or cause. It was an accidental fire," Winter said.
Winter said that the department was dispatched at 2:12 p.m., and arrived on scene at 2:18 p.m.
"We were slightly delayed in trying to get there because the car fire had traffic backed up quite a bit."
The scene was cleared at 2:47 p.m.
