Ashley Vaughan and Scott Targac, both of Houston, Texas, have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Deborah Bratton of Conway and Keith Vaughan of Jacksonville and of Houston,
Texas. She is the granddaughter of Maudean (Purtle) Skekloff of Conway and Lucille Vaughan of Kensett. The bride’s stepfather, George Bratton of Conway, will officiate.
The prospective groom is the son of Ray Targac of Halletsville,
Texas, and the late Patricia McMillan. He is the grandson of the late Lillie Tesch and Adolph Targac and the late Patricia Marsh and David Wallace.
The bride and groom are both graduates of Pearland High School (classes of 1997 and 1991, respectively).
Ms. Vaughan, formerly of Jacksonville, is a graduate of the University of Houston (B.A., 2002), South Texas College
of Law (J.D., 2006), and the University of Florida (LL.M. Taxation, 2007). She is now an attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel and a member of the adjunct faculty
at South Texas College of Law.
Mr. Targac served five years as an air traffic controller
in the United States Navy prior to graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
in 2000. He is now a structural engineer with Dashiell Corporation.
The wedding is set to take place at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26, at the Gardens at Bammel Lane in Houston, Texas.
After their marriage, the couple will reside in Houston with the groom’s two children, Hayden and Hannah.
