These were just a few of the thoughts going through the minds of the 21 Mount Vernon-Enola High School 2011 seniors as they graduated Sunday, May 22.The commencement was held at 3 p.m. in the school’s new gymnasium. It has been a number of years since a class has been able to hold commencement ceremonies on the MVE campus. The renovation took place over the 2010 summer break and was finished in October.To afford the expenses for the renovation the millage rate was raised for the community.The newly renovated gym features the capacity to seat more spectators, air conditioning, and improved facilities.The MVE class of 2011 was honored to be graduating on campus and in the new facility. Citizens in the community, the faculty, and MVE students were thrilled that graduation had moved back home.
