"We're talking about five sophomore starters; we're very young this year, but we've got some good seniors," said Vilonia coach Jim Stanley during  a news conference to support the Classic. "We're excited but we're very young. Last year we had a lot of seniors, but this year it will be a young group."

"We're a very young football team but this time last year we played with a lot of guys who haven't played before," said Sylvan Hills coach Jim Withrow, whose team lost to the Eagles, 41-7, in the game last season. "I think in time we'll be fine."
