LITTLE ROCK — After winning their pool, the Conway Lady Cats were defeated by Nettleton, 25-23, 30-29, Saturday in the Spikefest Tournament here.

The Lady Cats downed Pulaski Academy, 25-15, 25-19; Cordova, Tenn., 25-4, 25-12; and Rogers, 25-15-25-22; in pool play and downed Little Rock Christian, 25-23,25-19, in the first game of championship play.

Overall statistics for the tournament were:

Ferrin Macon, had 73 assists; seven aces; Sara Stovall had 51 Kills; seven blocks; Madison Dayer 32 kills; 24 dig; Alexus Clardy five aces; eight blocks; McCall Wilkins, six blocks; Abby Mann 37 digs.


Vilonia swept St. Joseph 25-19, 25-17, 25-23, in a match last week at the St. Joseph Family Activity Center.

The Eagles won the JV match, 25-12, 25-14.

"Vilonia is a good team, well-coached; Karla (Ault) does a good job with her teams," said St. Joseph coach Luke Davis. "I do think we’re a better team than what we showed."
