United Way of Central Arkansas is kicking off their 2012 Campaign with a breakfast for Campaign Coordinators at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday on Michelangelo’s rooftop.

"When we "Live United", there is a huge impact on the community," said Susan Jarvis, United Way of Central Arkansas’ Resource Development Director.  "You see United Way’s impact when children get after school tutoring, women find shelter from abusive situations, dentists become available and men and women get training for a new job."

Focusing on education, health and income, the United Way of Central Arkansas carries out its fundraising effort to impact education, health and income in Faulkner and Perry Counties. The mission is carried out through financial, volunteer and advocacy support of programs in 18 partnering agencies.

Campaign Coordinators lead the effort by presenting the "Live United" mission to their coworkers. Coworkers are encouraged to provide financial, volunteer and advocacy support knowing that their efforts support their neighbors in the community.

The Campaign Coordinator breakfast serves as training for the workplace coordinators.  They will hear what various other organizations have done to encourage participation as well as pick up materials for their workplace campaigns. Coordinators will have the opportunity to interact with the United Way of Central Arkansas staff.
